The SAP ERP R/3 MM module is a fundamental component of SAP® ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and supports the areas of procurement and inventory management. Together with SAP SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), it can be used in the classic or extended scenario to comprehensively map procurement processes (e.g. approval workflows). But it also has a good range of features on its own (e.g. reporting – purchasing information system) and can now also be used intuitively on mobile devices with the new SAP® Fiori technology.
The MM module is a product for the operational procurer in a central purchasing department. It is not suitable for decentralized procurement.
The MM user works with the SAP GUI.
